01 — Unmanned Aerial Systems

Autonomous Aerospace. Mission-Driven Design.

Defence UAV platforms, Arctic reconnaissance, modular payload integration and unmanned system support.

Overview

Unmanned aircraft are reshaping how nations monitor territory, protect infrastructure and support personnel in the field. For Canada, with the longest coastline in the world and vast northern regions, persistent and affordable aerial awareness is a strategic necessity.

Arctivus is focused on bringing mission-relevant unmanned aerial capability to Canadian and allied users through a disciplined approach to technology selection, integration and support.

Development priority — not a currently certified product line.

Reconnaissance UAVs

Evaluating fixed-wing and VTOL reconnaissance platforms suited to defence and security missions.

Arctic surveillance

Prioritizing endurance, cold-weather operation and remote deployment for northern applications.

Ruggedized concepts

Exploring airframe and subsystem hardening for harsh, distributed operating environments.

Modular payloads

Designing toward open payload interfaces so sensors can be matched to the mission.

EO/IR integration

Integrating electro-optical and infrared sensors for day, night and low-visibility awareness.

Ground-control interoperability

Emphasizing compatibility with established ground-control and data standards.

Communications integration

Pairing platforms with resilient data links appropriate to the operating area.

Lifecycle support

Planning for maintenance, repair, spares and upgrade pathways from the outset.

System Applications

  • Northern and coastal domain awareness
  • Critical infrastructure monitoring
  • Search and rescue support
  • Training and evaluation programs

Engineering & Delivery Approach

Arctivus's strategy includes licensing, partnering with and potentially assembling established UAV technology in Canada, subject to required approvals and technical agreements. Airframes and modular capabilities described here are proposed development priorities, not currently available certified products.
